Students/Parents

The image shows the entrance to Muncie Central High School, with a large sign displaying the school's name above the entrance. In the foreground, there are several students standing and walking around the entrance, suggesting it is a busy time at the school.

Parents are a child's most important teacher. Of course, the term 'parent' has expanded to mean all caretakers, including grandparents, foster parents and any adult who is legally responsible for a child. On our site you will find ideas and suggestions on how to be more involved in your child's education, regardless of which of these terms applies to you.

Communication (School Closings & Delays)

Muncie Community Schools makes every effort to notify families of school events, school closings or a two-hour delay to the start of the school day. If school is canceled or delayed, we will utilize our automated phone and email notification system and our social media channels to notify families.

In addition, information will be sent to our local media outlets, including all Indianapolis TV stations. To ensure you receive MCS emergency communications, please make sure all phone numbers and email addresses are up-to-date in PowerSchool.
